Welcome! If you’re reading this you probably know a little bit about me. I’m a music lover and an avid concert goer. Concert season is year round for me (for as long as my budget allows). Yes, I have finished graduate school, worked a full time job, while hitting the pavement until I landed my dream job in the music industry (I am currently the Business Operations Analyst for Westwood One, a division of Cumulus Media. None of that crazy schedule has yet to stop me from filling my music calendar each month with something new (on average a minimum of 2 shows a month)! I’m always talking about, scheduling, or promoting where I’m going, who I’m seeing, and what I’m listening to. That’s the reason for this blog: to share my experiences. I still have another blog, minibellum.wordpress.com, but I wanted to create a space for all my music experiences that go beyond the band Lady Antebellum and country music.
Great music and unforgettable performances go beyond genres. One night I’ll be at a country music festival, then the next I’ll be seeing a reggae band, followed by dancing all night to my favorite DJs. It doesn’t matter what I am listening to or who I am meeting; no matter the variety or scope of my musical interests it’s the experiences and memories I make that I want to document and express. I do have some crazy stories to tell and meet & greet photos to recap from the past year. This year was jam packed and unforgettable! It also began with probably one of my favorite jobs: promotions at JVC Broadcasting. Not only was it my chance to get first hand experience in radio, I met amazing coworkers, program directors, talented on-air personalities, and DJs who all share similar interests and passions in music and media. Also, to all the new friends I’ve made from traveling to different amphitheaters and venues: thank you all for making it okay to go to concerts alone knowing I would be meeting up with a friendly face! (My mom is grateful for that the most I’m sure)
